Anna Rich
LCPC, RDT
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) who blends creativity and clinical expertise to support my clients. I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a specialization in Drama Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and have worked as a drama therapist in schools, psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health clinics. Most recently I worked at the Sweet Tree School in Hope, ME as an arts educator, bringing my clinical knowledge into an arts-based classroom setting. Prior to my work as a therapist, I earned my BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and worked as an actor nationally and internationally. I now live in Midcoast Maine with my family.
I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate the challenges of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related anxiety conditions. My practice integrates evidence-based interventions with creative and experiential modalities to promote lasting symptom reduction and improved quality of life.
OCD can feel overwhelming-filled with intrusive thoughts, repetitive rituals, and a sense of being trapped in your own mind. My approach blends Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)-the gold standard for OCD treatment-with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Drama Therapy to facilitate insight, emotional expression, and behavioral flexibility. Creative and experiential techniques can deepen engagement in the therapeutic process and increase the accessibility of exposure work.
Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself or your child, my goal is to provide a space that is both structured and expressive, empowering clients to manage symptoms independently and engage more fully in their daily lives.
